ICYMI: On the morning of Sun., Jan. 23, the roundhouse building at West Wind 6 — Sac’s drive-in movie theater complex — went up in flames, leaving the theater closed for five days. The kitchen, concessions area + collection of arcade games were a total loss, the Sacramento Metro Fire spokesman shared after the fire. Restrooms, the projection room and its equipment + the six projection screens remained untouched.

With the loss of all concessions, a main source of income for the theater, the community rallied together. Since the fire, local food trucks are filling in for the absent popcorn, pulling up to the theater on a rotating weekly schedule until concessions reopen.

Want to head out for dinner + a movie tonight to help support Sacramento’s drive-in movie theater? Here’s a few food truck + film pairings we think would be a perfect match.

🚚 Food trucks for tonight’s films

  • Pinorrito | Ralph + Randolph Imatong showcase their Filipino fusion food throughout the NorCal community.
  • Jerroz | Get a taste of authentic Mediterranean cuisine
  • Chefs on Wheels | This food truck brings you on-the-go, gourmet-style dishes from locally sourced ingredients.

Movie + food pairings

  • Spiderman: No Way Home | Swing your way over to the Pinorrito food truck from some loaded fries that will be sure to remind you of home.
  • Sing 2 | Don’t get stage fright… gather the whole family for a night full of signing and dancing + grab a couple orders of chips and chunky-style salsa from Chefs on Wheels to share.
  • Moonfall | See how the world wraps up in this apocalyptic film while enjoying a chicken shawarma wrap from Jerroz.

Pro tip: if you plan on getting a bite to eat, make sure to arrive earlier than normal so you can park, place your food truck order + pick up your food before the show starts.
