A guide to the 2025 Aftershock Festival in Sacramento

Aftershock is sure to be a headbanging good time.

Do you feel that? It’s Aftershock 2025, coming to shake things up in Sacramento.Billed as the largest rock + metal music festival on the West Coast, Aftershock will take over Discovery Park from Thursday, Oct. 2 to Sunday, Oct. 5. More than 115 bands will shred across four stages — here’s a rundown of what you need to know before you go.

Getting to the show

First and foremost, screenshot this official festival map.

Fans can enter the festival via two entrances: The Garden Highway entrance on the north side of Discovery Park or the Jibbom Entrance from the south.There’s no parking inside the festival grounds. The easiest way to get to the fest is through the Park & Ride Shuttle program — buy your Park & Ride pass, park your car at Cal Expo, and take the shuttle into the festival site.

You can also ride your bike, use a ride share, or take the SacRT.

The experience

According to Visit Sacramento, Aftershock 2024 attracted 160,000 music fans from all 50 states and 30 countries, so expect a big, diverse crowd in 2025. The festival will also feature food + drink vendors, so keep an ear to the ground and check out the sights between bands.
