The football club is reinforcing its commitment to mental health awareness by sporting these patches for the second season in a row.

Sacramento Republic FC will once again be sporting its 988 jersey patch to promote the national Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

The kits were introduced last year, in a partnership with Western Health Advantage and WellSpace Health. More than 3,000 jerseys were distributed across Sacramento in 2023, helping to spread awareness concerning the 988 hotline — which can be reached via call or text for crisis resources and relief. The club teamed up with First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom to produce a PSA for the hotline as well.

The kits will be available for purchase from the club’s online store later this week. Republic FC opens its 2024 season with a home match against Orange County SC on Saturday, March 9.
