Looking for a way to spend your Sunday that isn’t sitting around watching football and eating wings? The BMX Northern California State Finals is wheeling its way to Roseville this Sunday beginning at 9 a.m.

Guests can stop by Oak Creek BMX at 648 Riverside Ave. to check out the action as 2,500 riders from across the state compete in heart-pounding races that can last as little as 30 seconds — meaning each competitor needs to be at the top of their game to win.

Officials with Placer Valley Tourism expect the event to bring in $1 million to the local economy — and you know we’re all about keeping things local here at SACtoday.
