To prepare residents for potential flooding this upcoming winter, Sacramento officials are hosting the Highwater Jamboree on Saturday, Oct. 21, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at North Natomas Regional Park (2501 New Market Dr.).

Touted as “the largest flood-preparedness event in the region,” visitors can check out interactive exhibits that will educate them on storm + flood preparedness, as well as get an up-close look at the city’s flood-fighting equipment.

City staff are asking attendees to RSVP on Facebook to help them plan for the event — and be sure to check out our guides on preparing for upcoming storms + what to do if your home is flooded.
