Friday, Nov. 10

Pre-Veterans Day Hike | 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
Hit the Bear Valley Trailhead — a three-hour easy to moderate hike — and explore the scenic beauty ranging from meadows to lush forest. Carpool options are available + pack a lunch.

Veterans Day Brunch | 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Cafeteria 15L is adding a brunch menu this Friday for Veterans Day weekend. Enjoy bottomless mimosas, comfort food + handcrafted cocktails. Be sure to call (916) 492-1960 to make a reservation.

Saturday, Nov. 11

Veterans Day Show and Shine Car Show | 1-7 p.m.
Vendors and pre-1980s cars will be set up, with a live performance from The Truckaderos. Entrance is free, with a $25-35 fee for potential vendors.

Elk Grove Veterans Day Parade and BBQ | 11 a.m.
American Legion Post 233 is hosting a parade with free food + drink served by churches in the Elk Grove area. The parade starts at Consumnes Community Services District
(8820 Elk Grove Blvd.).

Folsom Veterans Day Parade | 9-11 a.m.
More than 2,000 participants will take part in this parade, which includes floats, classic cars, horseback riders, color guards + a variety of community groups.

Rancho Cordova Blood Drive | 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Veterans will be honored by a three-mile installation of 500+ American flags, running straight through the heart of Rancho Cordova, with the theme“Their Sacrifice. Our Gratitude.”
