Bacon & Butter | Saturday + Sunday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. | While the name alone is enough to entice most hungry brunch enthusiasts, this farm-to-table eatery in Tahoe Park is so good, Michelin described it as “Sunday morning at your mom’s.” Pro tip: Be prepared for a wait — bring a book.
Iron Horse Tavern | Saturday + Sunday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. | Nestled along the R Street Corridor, this gastropub offers outdoor dining alongside incredible cocktails to start your weekend. Pro tip: Like sleeping in? The Folsom location opens an hour later.
Dad’s Kitchen | Saturday + Sunday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. | Brunch means lunch too, right? While the Land Park location may have gained recognition for its appearance on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, the Fair Oaks location serves the same famous lunch along with breakfast. Don’t miss the breakfast tacos and Dad’s Classic Breakfast Sando.

Rivers Edge Cafe | Daily, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. | This cafe’s location is the perfect stop during a casual jaunt along the American River Parkway. What we’re ordering: The California Benedict + stuffed hash browns.
Fox & Goose Public House | Daily, 7 a.m.-2 p.m. | This restaurant has been serving English fare like a full English breakfast to hungry Sacramentans for ~50 years with plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Pro tip: Come back for dinner to catch some live music.

Sibling by Pushkin’s | Daily, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. | This 100% all-natural and gluten-free eatery also boasts a separate menu of vegan-friendly items. What we’re ordering: A goat cheese omelet. You can thank us later.
Orphan Breakfast House | Daily, 7 a.m.-2 p.m. | An extension of Naked Coffee, this spot is known for its heaping stacks of pancakes and sweet corn breakfast tamales. Pro tip: It’s cash or check only here, but there’s an ATM inside.
Toasted Rooster Cafe | Monday, 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m.; Tuesday-Friday, 6:30 a.m.-2 p.m.; Saturday-Sunday, 6:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. | Whether you choose a breakfast or lunch dish, you can’t go wrong. What we’re ordering: Coyote Eggly Tacos (add bacon) and whatever the month’s featured mimosa is.
The Morning Fork | Daily, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. | This laid-back neighborhood diner offers benedicts, omelets, waffles, pancakes, and so much more. Pro tip: Dine-in weekdays from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and score three sides like biscuits + gravy, country potatoes, or sweet peppered bacon for $14.50.
Hot Off the Griddle | Daily, 7 a.m.-2 p.m. | This place is known for its country-style meals like its biscuits + gravy, French toast, and scrambles. The coffee is solid here, too.
Kitchen 15 | Daily, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. | In Midtown around midday? Head over to this eatery and immediately order the chicken + waffles. Check out the weekly mimosa flavors and ask about the weekly barista creation.
