It’s easy to eat farm-to-fork in Sacramento, because our farmers markets are simply un-beet-able.

Whether you’re shopping for locally grown fruits + veggies, Sacramento-roasted coffee beans, or artisan home goods, you can find it at your nearest market.

In the spirit of supporting all things local, we’ve rounded up 18 farmers markets in the Greater Sacramento area where you’ll find fresh food, live music, and local vendors.

Carmichael Farmers Market | Sundays, year-round | 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

This certified farmers market at Carmichael Park boasts freshly-picked seasonal produce, food trucks, free vendor samples, and handcrafted items.

Sunrise Mall Farmers Market | Saturdays, year-round | 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

  • Space: Outdoors

This market sets up shop in the parking lot in front of Macy’s and features 80+ vendors, gluten-free baked goods, body care products, mushrooms, vegan protein products like cashew cheese, and cut flowers.

Sutter Health’s Midtown Farmers Market | Saturdays, year-round | 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

  • Parking: Street parking + garages, including 1801L Parking Garage, 2115 Capitol Ave. Parking, and East End Garage
  • Space: Outdoors

Located in the heart of the Lavender Heights District, the Midtown Farmers Market was ranked the No. 1 farmers in California in 2024 and No. 3 in the US by the America’s Farmers Market Celebration. There’s so much to browse here — 200+ vendors, food trucks, produce, local artisans, crafters, and clothing. There are free children’s activities on the first Saturday and live cooking demos on the last Saturday of the month.

Folsom Farmers Market | Saturdays, year-round | 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

  • Parking: Parking structure at 905 Leidesdorff St.
  • Space: Outdoor

This market takes over the Historic Folsom Public Plaza with up to 80 vendors, live music, hot food, coffee, seasonal fruits, vegetables, and more.

The Rancho Cordova Certified Farmers’ Market sets up shop at the Sunrise Light Rail Station every Saturday.

Also operated by Alchemist CDC, this market is located at the Sunrise Light Rail Station on Folsom Boulevard. Expect local farmers, hot food, fresh flowers, and free bike repair stations at this one.

Sacramento Certified Farmers Market | Sundays, year-round | 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

Located at River Walk Park, this market local vendors selling baked goods, coffee, produce, clothing, bread, jams, and hot food.

Denio’s Farmers Market | Fridays, year-round | 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

In addition to its lively weekend markets, the family-owned Denio’s Farmers Market and Swap Meet in Roseville hosts a weekly Friday Farmers Market featuring fresh produce and new + used merch.

Fair Oaks Farmers Market | Tuesdays, year-round | 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

This market takes over Fair Oaks Park with vendors selling farm-fresh fruits and veggies, cookies, olive oil, and coffee.

McKinley Park Farmers Market | Sundays, year-round | 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Here’s your shopping list for this spot: Strawberries, hummus, and kettle corn.

Capitol Mall Farmers’ Market | Wednesdays, seasonal | April 30-October, 9 a.m.-1:15 p.m.

Take your lunch break on Capitol Mall while shopping for seasonal produce, flowers, herbs, and cheeses.

Bodega Market | Thursdays, seasonal | May-October, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

Head to Cesar Chavez Plaza for farm-fresh produce, freshly baked bread, food vendors, local artists, and crafts.

Oak Park Farmers Market | Saturdays, seasonal | April 5-Nov. 1, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

This weekly market sets up shop at McClatchy Park with live music, children’s activities, and vendors selling fruits, vegetables, breads, eggs, and tamales. Fun Fact: In 2024, this farmers market sold 26,660 pounds of fresh, local produce — eating your veggies is important.

One Natomas Farmers Market | Saturdays, seasonal | 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Located at North Natomas Regional Park, this market features meat, produce, microgreens, plants, and local snacks, plus fun weekly programming like coloring contests for the kids, free bike repair, and a photo booth.

Greenhaven Pocket Farmers Market | Sundays, seasonal| April-November, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

The parking lot at Elks Lodge #6 houses this weekly gathering featuring produce, baked goods, live music, food trucks, fresh flowers, candles, and local honey.
