Just looking at this Carbonara pizza has our stomachs growling.

Local legends

Uncle Vito’s Slice of NY, 1800 15th St., Ste. E
Its location across the street from Ace of Spades + a late-night happy hour make Uncle Vito’s perfect for a post-concert pit stop not to mention it offers what can only be referred to as “Costco-sized” slices.

Giovanni’s Old World New York Pizzeria, Multiple locations
Stop by for lunch Monday-Saturday to snag two slices and a soda for $10.99 — maybe even add a bucket of beers if the rest of your day looks open. We’re not here to tell you how to live your life.

Pieces Pizza by the Slice, 1309 21st St.
Not a fan of decision-making? Look no further than Pieces, where you can get a little of everything. Slingin’ slices since ’93, this joint also has vegan + gluten-free options.

Roma’s Pizzeria, 5743 Franklin Blvd.
One bite is all it takes to see why hungry Sacramentans keep coming back to the original Roma’s location after 50 years in business. Roma’s also offers two imported Italian wines among its drink menu.

Think outside the pizza box

Curry Pizza House, Multiple locations
Classic Indian flavors work with incredible pizza crusts and some serious amounts of cheese to give us savory and spicy delights such as the Chicken Tikka pizza — made with garlic sauce, chicken tikka, cilantro, tomatoes, and red and green onions.

Pizzasaurus Rex, 2322 K St.
In addition to multiple vegan options, the menu includes the tantalizing potato pizza — a white sauce pie topped with potatoes (duh), onions, garlic, parsley, and sun-dried tomatoes.

Buffalo Pizza and Ice Cream Co., 2600 21st St.
Besides traditional pies (and ice cream, as implied by the name), Buffalo also serves up breakfast pizzas — a mouth-watering combo of scrambled eggs and cheese topped with a variety of meats or veggies.

Ciro’s Pizza Cafe, Multiple locations
For those who can’t get enough of Ciro’s, you can order a DIY Pizza Kit to make their delicious pies in the comfort of your own kitchen.

Chicago Fire, Multiple locations
First launched in Historic Folsom, this pizzeria brings a taste of the Midwest to Sacramento with deep-dish options + good ol’ Wisconsin cheese. Also, the staff makes doughs, sauces, croutons, beef roasts, and dressings from scratch. Daily.

Fancier fare

OneSpeed, 4818 Folsom Blvd.
Take-Out Tuesday specials give you pizza, salad, and a bottle of wine for just $42, making it a great option for an at-home date night.

Masullo Pizza, 2711 Riverside Blvd.
Masullo is known for its Neopolitan-style pies that are wood-fired to near perfection — like the prosciutto-topped Mustapha — along with a small selection of other Italian dishes.

Majka Pizzeria and Bakery, 1704 15th St.
This vegetarian pizzeria uses local produce and offers daily specials complimented by a recommended bottle of wine.

Federalist Pizza, 2009 Matsui Alley
Not only has Federalist been serving delicious pies for almost a decade, it also has a Sunday brunch menu and a beer tasting experience for guests to enjoy.

No matter the temperature or time of day, pizza is delicious.

SAC-style

Pizza Supreme Being, 1425 14th St., Ste. C
What other pizzeria carries a pie inspired by our own legendary local taco chain, Jimboy’s Tacos? Case closed.

Rico’s Pizza, 2650 Northgate Blvd.
Give it up for the crust on these bad boys, which somehow hold up a literal mountain of toppings no matter how thin you order them.

Anonimo Pizza, 400 12th St.
We can’t decide which pizza we like more — the duck carnitas pizza or the pear honey pizza — so we recommend you just order both.

We know, this is just one piece of the pie. If your favorite place to get pizza wasn’t mentioned, let us know so we can show it some love in the future.
