For us, projects around the house are always great topics for conversation but they’re ideas we rarely bring to fruition. Consider us utterly inspired to do some home improvements of our own by this tiny home near UC Davis Medical Center on Stockton Boulevard.

Originally a carriage house built to store equipment in the 1920s that was in need of TLC, the owners of the home have restored and redesigned the 216-sqft space to be a home with modern amenities and farmhouse touches for rent on Airbnb. Since it’s Cinderella-like makeover, the space has even gone on to attract local fame.

Here are some key features of the rental, which runs $98 per night:

  • a queen bed
  • a wood-burning fire place
  • a kitchenette
  • front and back patios
