Following its announcement earlier this month, Sacramento Regional Transit has officially unveiled its new electric vehicle (EV) charging hub, located at the Power Inn light rail station.

Created in partnership with SMUD and GiddyUp EV Charging, Inc., 20 of the lot’s 299 parking spots were converted into Level 3 charging stations — which can charge an EV in 30 minutes or less. Most public charging stations utilize Level 2 chargers, according to SacRT.

The hub is available to use 24/7, and can accommodate both commercial vehicles such as buses as well as personal vehicles.
