🍳 Bacon & Butter, 5913 Broadway | $ | Saturday + Sunday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. | While the name alone is enough to entice most hungry patrons, this farm-to-table eatery in Tahoe Park is so good, Michelin described it as “Sunday morning at your mom’s.” Pro tip: Bring a book + be prepared for a wait.

🍳 Iron Horse Tavern, 1800 15th St. | $ | Saturday + Sunday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. | Nestled along the R St. Corridor, this gastropub offers outdoor dining alongside incredible cocktails to start your weekend. Pro tip: Like sleeping in? The Folsom location opens an hour later.

🍳 Dad’s Kitchen, 8928 Sunset Ave. | $ | Saturday + Sunday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. | Brunch means lunch too, right? While the Land Park location may have gained recognition for its appearance on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, the Fair Oaks location serves the same famous lunch along with breakfast.

Weekday wonders

🍳 River’s Edge Cafe, 8740 La Riviera Dr. | $ | Thurs.-Tues. 9 a.m.-2 p.m. | This cafe’s location is perfect to stop at during a casual jaunt along the American River Parkway. What we’re ordering: The chicken and waffle benedict + stuffed hash browns.

🍳 Sibling by Pushkin’s, 1813 Capitol Ave. | $ | 8 a.m.-3 p.m. | 100% all-natural + 100% gluten-free, Sibling even boasts a separate menu of vegan-friendly items. What we’re ordering: A goat cheese omelet. You can thank us later.

🍳 Fox & Goose Public House, 1001 R St. | $ | 7 a.m.-2 p.m. | Fox & Goose has been serving up traditional English dishes to hungry Sacramentans for ~50 years with plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Pro tip: Come back for dinner to catch some live music as well.

🍳 The Mimosa House, 5641 J St. | $ | 7 a.m.-3 p.m. | With weekly specials and 50+ varieties of mimosas, no brunch round up of the city would be complete without this East Sac staple. Pro tip: Order a mimosa flight to try three flavors at a time.

🍳 Rio City Cafe, 1110 Front St. | $$ | Saturday + Sunday 10 a.m.-2:45 p.m. | If you want brunch with a view, Rio City sits right on the waterfront in historic Old Sac so you can not only drink in delicious wine, but also a spectacular vista. What we’re ordering: The prime rib chilaquiles are an absolute life-changer.

🍳 Ink Eat & Drinks, 2730 N St. | $ | Saturday + Sunday 9-11:30 a.m. | Thanks to a combination of amazing food + a tattoo parlor-like atmosphere, Ink has become a Midtown hit since it opened nearly 20 years ago. What we’re ordering: Jalapeno cheddar biscuits with gravy? Yes, please.
