Look at those beautiful branches, ready for some ornaments.

It’s that time of year when you stick a bunch of lights and decorations on the outside of your house and bring trees and other shrubbery inside to decorate. (We do it too, but still admit it’s a bit of an odd habit.)

With that in mind, here are a few places to find your Christmas tree in the Sacramento area:

Foothills Christmas Trees
Cal Expo, 1600 Exposition Blvd., Sacramento
9 a.m.-8 p.m.

Foothills supplies 10 different tree types, as well as flocking (that fake snow-looking stuff).

Green Acres Nursery and Supply
8501 Jackson Rd., Sacramento
Sunday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-7 p.m.
Friday-Saturday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.

Green Acres offers free trees for disabled veterans and immediate family members of troops who are actively deployed.

Bambi’s Christmas Tree Land
210 S. Harding Blvd., Roseville
10 a.m.-9 p.m.

Bambi’s has both tabletop trees and 100-ft commercial trees.

Chad’s Christmas Trees
1300 Jefferson Blvd., West Sacramento
Monday-Friday, 10:30 a.m.-9 p.m.
Saturday-Sunday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.

For 20 years, this farm has operated at the site of the family’s other venture, Whitey’s Jolly Kone .

O’Halloran’s Apple Trail Ranch
2261 Cable Rd., Camino
9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Take a nice walk along the nature trail and enjoy a picnic at this Apple Hill farm before snagging a tree to take home.
