Calling all artsy-types. The city’s Office of Arts and Culture is looking for local creatives to join the Creative Corps Capital Region program.

The program provides funds to artists and art collectives for use in increasing public awareness of a number of issues — from environmental conservation to social justice. The California Arts Council awarded Sacramento with ~$5 million back in August to help launch the program.

Want to learn more? Register for the city’s free webinar, which will be held Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 4 p.m.

Having spent time in the Bay Area and San Diego, Jordan has called Sacramento home for more than a dozen years. Jordan joined SACtoday in March 2022 after spending 5 years as a digital producer and edit coordinator for FOX40. When he’s not writing, he can be found spending time with his son playing video games, exploring the outdoors, and rooting for the San Franciosco 49ers.
