From holiday markets to aesthetic local coffee shops, winter in Sacramento offers something for everyone. We’ve done the planning for you — so cozy up and get exploring.
Up and at ‘em
Start your morning bright and early with a seasonal drink + pastry item from Temple Coffee. We recommend their ginger snap latte (with your milk of choice) + an almond croissant.
Once you snag your sweet treat, get strolling around the area. If you chose the Temple location on S Street, you’re walking distance to Refill Madness + Pushkin’s Bakery. Shop small gifts and grab a gorgeous, gluten-free sandwich for lunch.
The ginger snap latte + the Cozy Day are some of Temple Coffee’s seasonal drinks.

Been to the Downtown Ice Rink yet? You don’t want to miss out on this winter wonderland in the heart of Downtown + walking distance to Downtown Commons (DOCO).
Hit the ice, work up an appetite, then stop at one of the restaurants just a stone’s throw away. If you want something to thaw out that chill, we recommend Kodaiko Ramen & Bar or Solomon’s Vinyl Diner for comfort food + cocktails.
The Downtown Ice Rink is open 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday through Sunday, and 2-9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

This holiday season, give an introvert in your life the gift of canceled plans. Nothing’s better than an invitation, followed up with a “Hey, I think I’ll have to rain check” text before the event.
Don’t get it twisted — Introverts love being invited to things. We just might not actually want to go. We’ll enjoy the fuzzy feeling of being included from the guilt-free comfort of our own couch. 😬💜
