This year’s Aftershock Festival has officially come and gone, leaving us with hoarse voices, exhausted legs, and kick-ass memories.
The West Coast’s biggest rock festival drew 160,000 attendees for its 10th anniversary — the biggest year yet for the homegrown event. Over 90 bands performed across four stages, from KISS, to Muse to Sac’s very own Papa Roach, whose singer Jacoby Shaddix made special appearances with other bands all weekend long. For some serious regional pride, Papa Roach even brought out UC Davis’ marching band for a one-of-a-kind rendition of their hit single “Born for Greatness.”
Korn frontman Jonathan Davis also showed off his new line of pet products — aptly named Freak on a Leash — which were exclusively sold at Aftershock. We love that all of its proceeds went to animal rescue nonprofit Take Me Home.
