Picture this — Tables of wine tastings, live DJ mixing, spicy eats, and wine enthusiasts at every turn.

Perhaps an average night in Sacramento, but with one twist — it’s not your typical California wine.

Viva Vino brought New Mexico’s wine country to Solomon’s Vinyl Diner to promote a variety of wineries and pours on Tuesday, Jan. 23, and you can try them too.

Frequent fliers of Sacramento’s Unified Wine & Grape Symposium , Viva Vino members + staff come to the City of Trees for tips from the winemakers of California.

Christopher Goblet, Viva Vino Executive Director, credits Sacramento’s innovative people + ever-evolving food and drink industry for much inspiration in New Mexico’s wine industry. Each year, Viva Vino’s wineries implement techniques from the symposium + commune in Sac’s restaurants and bars.

Want a taste? Wineries will be handing out samples for symposium visitors at today’s regional tasting, from 4 to 5 p.m., at SAFE Credit Union Convention Center. Snag your tickets now .
