Flora & Fauna Provisions opens in Sacramento

This new restaurant has fresh local produce on the menu and food literacy on the brain.

Allow us to introduce you to Flora & Fauna Provisions, your next breakfast and lunch spot Downtown.

Located inside the first floor of Plaza Park Tower (849 J St.), Sac’s newest farm-to-fork restaurant sports a seasonal menu with produce sourced from local farmers markets.

Nosh on breakfast + lunch sandwiches, salads, and house-baked challah french toast. Beverage options come from Anchor & Tree Coffee — we tried the chai with F&F’s oatmeal cookie syrup. Yum.

A halved sandwich sits next to potato chips on a serving tray. Next to the tray is a small mug of soup, topped with microgreens.

City Editor Madeline tried the garden sandwich + a vegan squash soup.

Don’t forget to pay your compliments to the owners, Christopher + Angel, who cook and bake their market wares together. No worries, they don’t bite.

They hope to use their restaurant to promote fresh eats and food literacy in the area.

When you visit, you’ll have to check out the two colorful bunny murals painted by Angel’s sister. Where some operations may take a village, this one definitely takes at least a family.
