Sacramento loves Halloween — and that isn’t us just being overconfident + anecdotal. A recent study from WalletHub ranked the City of Trees No. 18 on its list of Best Places for Halloween . Let’s break down why:

  • Sacramento came in No. 1 — you read that right — for Halloween weather. The study measured the average forecasted Halloween temperature vs. the average normal temperature, and also took into account the likelihood of rain.
  • The River City ranked No. 18 for Halloween fun — considering attractions like the number of haunted houses, costume shops, pumpkin patches, Halloween parties, and candy stores per capita.
  • The Farm-to-Fork Capital took the No. 48 spot for trick-or-treater-friendliness, which covers stuff like walkability, population density, and potential number of trick-or-treaters + trick-or-treat stops.
