Giving back feels so good.

Sacramento’s Parks and Community Enrichment Comission is seeking volunteers to help beautify our local parks as part of 916 Day — a day named after the city’s area code that’s meant to celebrate all things Sacramento.

Seven events will be held this week where volunteers can pop by to lend a hand. Tools will be provided, but are limited (so bring your own if you have them). The locations and date for each event are:

  • Blackbird Park, Friday, Sept. 15
  • Oki Park, Friday, Sept. 15
  • Five Star Park, Saturday, Sept. 16
  • Gardenland Park, Saturday, Sept. 16
  • Valley Hi Park, Saturday, Sept. 16
  • Woodbine Park, Saturday, Sept. 16
  • Zapata Park, Saturday, Sept. 16

Be sure to register ahead of time, and check out our guide to volunteering in the City of Trees if you’re looking for other ways to get involved.
