Do you own vacant property in Sacramento and have no clue what to do with it? Well you’re in luck — the city has a program that just might inspire you.
The Urban Agriculture Incentive Zone program will offer a tax break to owners of vacant property who transform their land into a space for urban agriculture for at least five years.
Some of the eligibility criteria includes:
- Property size between 0.10 and 3 acres
- Metered water service connection or approved water well
- Only includes structures related to agricultural activity, such as tool sheds or greenhouses
- Does not include dwelling units
