Losing a pet can be a devastating feeling, especially when you aren’t sure where to start your search. Thankfully, Front Street Animal Shelter is offering tips for community members to help find their furry friends, should they choose to take off on a “Homeward Bound” -esque adventure.

  • Check local shelters every three days to see if your cat has been picked up.
  • Call 311 and provide them with your pet’s animal ID if they have one.
  • File a Lost Cat Report so you can be contacted if your animal is found.
  • Upload a photo of your pet to Petco Love Lost , which uses facial recognition technology to help identify your animal.

Residents can also text STRAY to 833-511-0426 or check out Front Street’s YouTube guide for additional tips.

When he’s not writing, he can be found spending time with his son playing video games, exploring the outdoors, and rooting for the San Franciosco 49ers.
