Sacramento city officials are asking for public input on the current rules around construction zone detours.

The city’s goal is to establish a plan so that construction-related detours on streets and sidewalks have as little impact as possible on residents who are walking, biking, scooting, or otherwise traveling along Sacramento’s roadways.

A webinar will be held by the Department of Public Works at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24. The virtual meeting will offer residents more insight and take public comment. Community members can also submit their thoughts on the city’s website until Wednesday, Feb. 14.
