If you’re excited about the new soccer stadium at the Railyards, you’lldig this. Local politicians and Sacramento Republic FC leaders broke ground this week at the site of the team’s new $175 million stadium — a privately financed project 12 years in the making.
The venue is set to debut in 2027 with 12,000 seats for soccer fans, 17 luxury suites, and a 4,500-sqft team store — check out the latest renderings. It’s part of the broader redevelopment to transform the Railyards into a housing, retail, and live entertainment hub.
Republic FC says the new stadium will help the team plan for the future and may be just the ticket if they ever make the jump into Major League Soccer.
Pro tip: Fans can now place priority seating deposits for the 2027 season at Republic Stadium starting at $9.16 — well-played, right?
