Funding for a water supply preservation project was fully approved by the Placer County Water Agency Board of Directors. The RiverArc Project aims to shift drinking water demand from the Lower American River to the Sacramento River, with the goal of preserving native fish species impacted by water shortages. La Familia Counseling Center expects to break ground next year for a job hub and emergency shelter. Funded largely by grants, state funds + awards, $11 million out of the $16 million needed for the project has already been raised for the “Opportunity Center” in South Sacramento. (Sac Bee)
