• City Council has approved the use of $2 million for a series of programs aimed at preventing residential displacement on Stockton Boulevard as a result of UC Davis’ Aggie Square development. • A piece of fossilized fruit found under a Granite Bay home in the 1990s has played an instrumental role in a recent scientific discovery. This common ancestor for 40,000 plant species (including coffee, mints, and potatoes) can be traced back to the Cretaceous Period. (Sac Bee)
