🌵 Get fantastical with botanicals
If you’re quick, you might have your pick of bouquets using same-day flower delivery. (We’re eyeing those locally designed arrangements.)
Or, get creative and nab a potted plant from these plant spots. Nothing says forever like a hardy succulent.
If you didn’t score reservations, don’t overthink… grab a drink. The following spots have weekday happy hours:
Revolution Winery & Kitchen | Monday-Friday, 3-6 p.m. | With deals on vino + eats, wine club members can enjoy happy hour all day on Wednesdays.
University of Beer | Monday-Friday, 3-6 p.m. | Keep it casual. With 40+ taps of craft beer, UOB’s $7 drink specials are a perfect way to do your own special-curated beer tasting.
The Green Room | Wednesday-Sunday, 3-4:30 p.m. | The only thing that beats $3 Montucky Lager is $5 drafts of every other available brew.
It doesn’t get much more idyllic than bundling up and looking at the stars. Grab some blankets (and maybe a hot drink) and head to one of these spots away from man-made light to take in the sky.
Galentine’s Paints & Pints | Monday, Feb. 13 | 6-8 p.m. | Old Town Pizza & Tap House, 9677 Elk Grove Florin Rd., Elk Grove | $25-$30 | Celebrate your gal pals of every age while you create a masterpiece of your own.

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. and Unseen Heroes host Downtown pop-up

City Editor Jordan here — and Friday night, my buddy and I stopped by a pop-up in Downtown hosted by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. and Unseen Heroes for the legendary beermaker’s #StillTheOne campaign. The event included free games like arcade machines and four-player Mario Kart projected onto one of the walls, a live DJ, and — of course — beer. In a partnership with Unseen Heroes sister organization, the nonprofit CLTRE, the proceeds from the event will go towards funding projects and programs aimed at developing local neighborhoods.
I got to drink cheap beer and beat my friend in both darts and giant Jenga, all for a good cause. So, I consider that a successful evening.
Editor’s pick: If you haven’t gotten your hands on Ginger Elizabeth’s limited Death by Chocolate Croissant yet — this is me telling you that you need to.
