Protect our city’s water quality with a little help from the Department of Utilities.

Few things are as rewarding as beautifying where you live.

Sacramento community groups can now get up to $3,000 in grants to help protect and restore our city’s waterways.

The Department of Utilities is offering grants to local groups — such as student or neighborhood groups — working to prevent runoff pollution or enhance Sacramento’s rivers and creeks.

The project must be within city limits + related to local watersheds — a term used to describe an area that drains rain, rivers, and creeks into places like a reservoir or bay — and can include things like educational materials, improvement projects, and more.

Apply by Monday, Feb. 26, and check our volunteer guide for more ways to get involved with your community.
