The Perseid meteor shower — aka the Perseids — made its way across the Sacramento skies this past weekend. The shower happens when Earth passes through the trail of Comet Swift-Tuttle, offering spectators across the globe the opportunity to see ~100 meteors per hour when the shower is at its peak.
If you weren’t able to see the stars, don’t worry — you can still catch views of the shower until Friday, Sept. 1, or check out these other upcoming celestial events.

I’ve got to say, Trey Lance did not look good in yesterday’s preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders. I’m not ready to label him a bust yet — the offensive line certainly didn’t give him any help — but things aren’t looking great.
