Plan Ahead

Open
Locally owned Thai restaurant Gai ‘N Rice has opened a second location in Elk Grove at 2475 Elk Grove Blvd. The Freeport Boulevard location remains closed following a kitchen fire that occurred in October. (ABC 10)
Feel Good
Children at Sutter Medical Center were delightfully surprised with a gaggle of furry visitors last week. Employees from SeaWorld San Diego brought a sloth, skunk, kangaroo, and other animals to meet the kids and help teach them about wildlife conservation. (Sac Bee)
Don’t forget — Memorial Day weekend means the city’s spray parks are officially open. They’re a fun and free way to stay cool as the days continue to warm up.
