If you love Sacramento’s live music scene, take note — there’s a new player in town. Channel 24 is now open in Midtown and already appears to be a hit with local music fans.
The 2,150-capacity venue on 24th and R streets is operated by Another Planet Entertainment. It features a main music floor with standing room, a balcony with some reserved seats, a VIP room, an upstairs patio, and bar + food options. It debuted in late April with headliners Tucker Wetmore and Tycho. So far, artists like Sierra Ferrell, Wallows, Empire of the Sun, and Denzel Curry with Kenny Mason have also taken the stage.
Concertgoers have been vocal about their Channel 24 experiences on social media. Fans called the Empire of the Sun concert earlier this month “epic” and many who attended last week’s Denzel Curry show said they got a great first impression of the new music venue.
In a news release earlier this year, Allen Scott, president of concerts + festivals for Another Planet Entertainment, said he hopes the mid-sized venue helps attract more touring artists.
“We hope that the venue quickly becomes an integral part of Sacramento’s vibrant live music scene,” Scott added.

Early reviews are in, and this Midtown venue rocks.
