Sacramento Fire Department holds camp for teen girls

Get fired up over the possibilities.

Campers will also learn proper hose and fire stream management.

The Sacramento Fire Department will hold its fourth annual Sacramento Area Girls Fire Camp Saturday, Sept. 23 + Sunday, Sept. 24.

The free event gives teenage girls (including transgender, non-binary, and female-identifying teens) a chance to learn search and rescue techniques, CPR, first aid, and gain a better understanding of public safety from a group of professional women firefighters. Attendees will also receive breakfast and lunch both days, along with a camp T-shirt.

Interested campers should register for the event as soon as possible, as space is limited.
