For just over a decade, Sacramento has been known as “America’s Farm-to-Fork Capital” for its veritable cornucopia of locally sourced fresh foods. Enter the Farm-to-Fork Festival — a celebration and showcase our region’s food and agriculture.

We spent our Friday + Saturday indulging in some of the best local fare available, and wanted to share our top three items with you.

We could eat these fires every day honestly.

🍟 Drewski’s Hot Rod — Monster Fries with Chopped Chicken

Of all the foods we tried, these fries from Drewski’s topped our list. Made with jalapenos, cheese sauce, bacon, more cheese, and green onions, each bite was packed with spicy, savory, smacktastic flavor.

We’re not ashamed to admit we’ve already eaten this entire bag.

🥜 Fudging Around — Peanut Butter Fudge

We can’t lie — we definitely have a sweet tooth. And this locally made fudge from Fudging Around absolutely hit the spot. After trying a few different samples, like Banana Cream and Rocky Road, we picked up a bag of scrumdiddlyumptuous Peanut Butter Fudge to take home and enjoy.

🍺 Device Brewing Co. — Made In Sac IPA

We tried all the local beers on tap — from breweries like Track 7 + Sudwerk — but Device’s Made In Sac IPA took the top spot. Its crisp, full flavor was perfectly complimented by the mid-80° weather we enjoyed over the weekend.

Honorable Mentions

We have to make sure to mention some of the other great bites we had — like cheese from Cypress Grove + afagattos (espresso poured over ice cream) from Cafe a la Mode. Just because they didn’t make the top 3 doesn’t mean they weren’t tasty.
