The city of Sac is asking residents to provide input on potential renovations to both Sierra 2 Park and Curtis Park. The scope of the renovations include adding sports fields and off-leash areas for dogs. Take the survey before it closes Monday, Jan. 6, 2023. 📝 (Sacramento City Express)
Roseville City Council voted last week to raise energy surcharges by 8% beginning Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, through the end of 2024. The announcement comes as a 3% surcharge increase that was approved in 2021 is also set to go into effect beginning Sunday, Jan. 1. ⚡️ (FOX40)

Air Canada will soon offer nonstop flights from Sacramento to Toronto. The airline said that four flights will travel directly between the two cities each week beginning Friday, June 2, 2023. ✈️ (FOX40)

Sac State’s football season came to a close Friday night after the Hornets lost 66-63 to Incarnate Word University in the second round of the FCS playoffs. Fifty-seven total points were scored in the fourth quarter. (ESPN)
