It’s Election Day, Sacramento. In one capacity or another, California has been voting by mail since 1962, and while this is a convenient option for many Sacramentans, not everyone has easy access to the postal service.
So, with the Tuesday, Nov. 8 General Election ending today, we’ve put together a list of locations where you can drop your ballot off in-person.
Pro tip: If you are in line before then, you’ll still be able to cast your vote.
California Museum | 1020 O St.
Take the light rail from the 8th and O station and walk to 10th Street, or consider using metered parking on the N Street side of Capitol Park.
Folsom Lake College | 10 College Pkwy., Folsom
Use Parking Lot A if you plan on dropping off your ballot at this location.
Faith Lutheran Church | 4000 San Juan Ave., Fair Oaks
Located at the corner of San Juan Avenue and Fair Oaks Boulevard.
The Center at District56 | 8230 Civic Center Dr., Elk Grove
Snag food from one of the participating food trucks when Takeout Tuesday begins at 4:30 p.m.
Roseville City Clerk’s Office | 311 Vernon St., Roseville
Building located next door to Vernon Street Town Square.
If you live outside of these three counties, there are still official drop-off locations available to you. Oh, and if you’re hoping to get your hands on an “I Voted” sticker, you’ll have to vote at an in-person voting center.

Asked: What about Sacramento are you thankful for?
We’re thankful for moments like this that are captured by you. | Photo by @nishaat__ali
As locals, we of course love Sacramento (OK so sometimes we dislike it, but that’s a right we’ve earned, darn it) but every Sacramentan knows there’s moments when our city gets an unfair rap from those who don’t live here.
The holiday season is always a great time to look back at what exactly we’re grateful for, and that’s why we want you to tell us: “What about Sacramento are you grateful for?”
It could be your favorite local business, your childhood neighborhood, your favorite dish, or our incredible history — whatever warms your heart when you think of the City of Trees.
Editor’s pick: I love the rain. Not just because our state is in desperate need of it, but because I also really enjoy sipping on some freshly-brewed coffee from Temple in the dark (Happy 17th birthdayto them, by the way), reading and listening to the sound of droplets on my window.
Missed yesterday’s newsletter? Don’t be fooled by the meats that I got, we recommended five butchers from the block.
